Southwest Human Development is Arizona's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to early childhood development. For 35 years, Southwest Human Development has been a leader in providing services for children from birth to 5 years old in the areas of :
• Child Development and Mental Health • Easterseals Disabilities Services • Early Literacy and Head Start • Child Welfare • Professional Education and Training
Southwest Human Development serves 135,000 children and families each year through more than 40 programs and services that focus on preventing problems before they start or when they already exist, providing opportunities to intervene as early and effectively as possible.
Every year, Southwest Human Development distributes more than 100,000 books to Arizona's young children and their families through its 40 programs. As a nationally-recognized leader in the promotion of early literacy, Southwest Human Development is an expert in books for young children - books that support children's development and learning and that help them prepare so that they may succeed in school and in life.
